The Rs. 2.68 Lakh Crores industry has already set its sights on newer markets like CIS Countries this year by strengthening infrastructure facilities and quality standards. Indian Buffalo Meat is currently exported to 64 Countries. Apart from its traditional market like Egypt, Malaysia, Syria and Jordan, the country also exports huge quantities to Turkey, Kuwait, Oman, and Saudi Arabia.
India has the largest population of buffaloes. The Far Exports plant is ideally located in Uttar Pradesh, the largest buffalo growing state in the country. The animals are brought on an agreed specification, which covers the process and hygiene requirements, which are again ensured by Ante-mortem and Post-mortem examination by qualified Veterinarians Further; animals are not fed on hormones and growth promoters, they are under organic farming system
In order to direct and control the activities of the establishment and to provide confidence that meat Quality and Safety requirements will be fulfilled, the company has adopted programmes which prevent non-conformities. The programme includes inspections and testing by in-house as well External Laboratories. The livestock and carcasses are counter checked by the appointed doctor. Finally, the deputed doctor confirms its approval by issuing a certificate which mentions in detail that the meat is safe. Healthy, unadulterated and free from diseases and contamination.
